Firstly I just wanted to say a big ‘thank you’ to all of you who have subscribed, it does really help to create a place here, and for bearing with me while I find my way with it! Do please share if you know anyone else who might appreciate the offering.
I knew what was wanting to be written this week but kept missing the moment of flow and so had to wait patiently for that to return!
I am feeling much gratitude for how blessed I have been to witness the quiet purity and potential of many incredible young people over the last few years which may be my age recognising that but actually what I am also witnessing is they themselves have a genuine appreciation and recognition of this spark in each other too and just how important it is.
When I was their age and up until recently it seems, that sort of quality of raw sensitivity combined with inner knowing and strength was often judged to be a bit strange, or threatening and therefore was often hidden to fit in or you just got on with ‘being strange’ but a bit of an outsider, now happily, increasingly, this raw creativity and determination to be oneself in harmony with the natural world, is being revered and welcomed and nurtured more, which heralds a new level in, not only the creative arts but all areas of life and exploring ways of living differently I believe. So important for these times of change and increasing technology.
Just as the spring bulbs pushing through the often frozen earth, with a shear force of nature to meet harsh winds and beating rain, with no option but to display their tender beauty, are a shining beacon of spring hope for us, so too are our own precious individual inner lights of being.
As so often occurs at the end of eras and in times of chaos, nature moves us to dig deeper and a new level of creativity and ingenuity is revealed. Not only a way to express but almost like there are new codes within these expressions, opening hearts and forging new pathways for the future.
What I have being witnessing more is an appreciation of truth and honesty, talent being nothing without honesty, the offering of ones essence of being which seems to create an ease of bonding and group expression in young people which is literally moving hearts. While there are still those who wish to profit and sometimes, squash, thats not holding so much sway.
We are all creative in so many different ways, which adds so much colour to life, but perhaps the way in which it is coming through now, in the new generations is to open new levels in us and remind us of what we are capable of. Perhaps there is something that comes through from a universal perspective which informs these new abilities. Creativity, when it breaks away from the prescriptive and flows unhindered becomes a source of new life.
It seems this is true also of technology and something I came across last week demonstated that there are no limits, only choice. It seems that the quantum computer chips microsoft have been developing, first Sycamore and more recently Willow and have been developing their own creativity, of language, hyroglyphs and intricate geometry. Its not my usual past time researching technology but I have been making some big change-overs of software, which needed research !
Anyway what was fascinating was that these chips, which are totally beyond me and mind boggling, actually start playing with their own creativity, creating patterns often found in ultra magnified fractals in nature (much like water) which leads them onto a hyroglyphic language and starting to self encrypt themselves. This became so alarming to those in charge, that they were on the verge of unleashing an unstoppable non-human centred thing that a choice had to be made abruptly and Willow was shut down. Thank goodness, though why that was a surprise I am not sure as many have seen it coming for a while and it certainly doesn’t mean we are out of those woods yet.
But it is a demonstration of the very real choices which we all need to make to varying degrees. To nurture and respond to human unlimited potential or give it away to technologies that don’t have us or Earth at heart at the moment. Not to say of course that all technology is bad, absolutely not, but surely it must be about finding that pathway where the two become supportive of the each-other rather than an either or situation we seem to be headed for.
It comes down to frequency and intent and very few feel the mainstream intent is sound as it stands though there are many alternatives being explored. Currently I feel we are only just starting to get a glimpse again into our true relationship with nature, which is the original technology, and the potential of our own creative life force. Once we grasp this, and who knows if that will be in my life time, but I certainly hope so, then we will be in a place to chose which technologies to encourage for the true benefit of all.
In the meantime lets allow our own sparks to flourish by being nothing other than true to ourselves, finding a quiet moment in nature, creating a beautiful meal, listening, giving, making something useful or dancing on stage and bringing audiences to tears of joy if that is your talent, nourishing those beacons of light which can all join, stronger, together…..
Zara, thank you for this amazing piece. Many of us are trying to make sense of the new - fast arriving technologies- believing they can be of service to the human-us. Yet if allowed to run as a run away train - we all know the future of earth and our beautiful human species will look nothing like it does today- and I mean the free beautiful spirit of the humans. A Super important issue to explore right now. Thought provoking… I am sharing it.
